Successful Turnout at the 2025 Employee Ownership Canada Conference in Calgary

Congratulations to all the attendees, panelists, and the hard-working team that put the conference together. Some of our highlights include:
EOC Board Director and Social Capital Partner Chair, Jon Shell, presenting EOC Board Chair and Rewrite CEO, Tiara Letourneau, with a Foundational Sponsor Award, recognizing our organization as one of EOC’s dedicated sponsors and contributors.
Taproot Community Support Services was the belle of the ball with their newly launched EOT creating 750 employee-owners. Tiara moderated a session with Taproot’s CEO Michael Fotheringham, Board Chair Robert MacDougall, and new Trustee Andrew Achoba.
Our Design & Implementation Manager Elizabeth Nolin, along with Steve Youngman of Western Pacific Trust, presented on “The Trustee’s Role: Guiding EOT Success Before and After the Transaction”. Together, they explained how early learning and governance training are essential to building confident, informed, and empowered employee trustees. Trustees serve not only as the voice of future employee-owners during the sale, but also play a crucial role in shaping post-transaction success.
