Canada's employee-owned businesses, connected.

Protect your company when it’s time to sell the business
why Employee-owned

Being employee-owned in Canada makes you a trailblazer. But you don't have to do it alone.

Most companies that have gone through an employee ownership transition are solving the same problems: how to cultivate an ownership mindset; how to explain the governance structure to workers on the shop floor; how to balance employee voice with top-down decision-making; and how to keep momentum before employees see monetary benefits. Employee-Owned is where those questions get asked, and answered, by fellow peers who have already worked through them.

Employee-Owned is a national community of practice for Canadian employee-owned companies.

Whether your company is owned by an EOT, or has an EO+ structure (share purchase, stock options, MBO, synthetic equity), this is your space to connect with your peers for shared learning, support, and access to resources.
How it works

One Slack workspace, three Slack channels.

You get the best of both worlds: a private Slack channel for companies structured similarly to yours, as well as a shared channel for all Employee-Owned companies to cross-pollinate ideas and keep up with employee ownership news.

#eot-owned

For representatives of businesses owned by an EOT. A space to share best practices, ask for peer advice, and get access to Rewrite's experts for Ask Me Anything and Office Hours, as well as live sessions.

#eo-plus-owned

For representatives of businesses with share purchase, stock options, synthetic equity, and other EO+ ownership structures. A space to share and ask for advice on anything related to EO, from increasing financial understanding for value creation, to best practice in using EO to attract and retain top talent, to cultivating an employee ownership mindset for shareholders and non-shareholders.

#all-employee-owned

News, events, and policy from across Canadian employee ownership, and the place where the two groups trade ideas.
